Poor Lilly got her 1st round of shots Friday...She didn't like them (they made her sleepy).Sunday she wore Mommy's old baby clothes.Earlier in the week, Lilly was a ham for Uncle Sam in her "star-spangled baby" outfit. (We got to talk to Sam online and sent him these pictures as we were talking. Yahoo Messenger is cool! We also got to see him on a webcam Sunday, and he got to see us! It was the first time we've seen him since he left for Afghanistan.) Lilly knows how to rock the awesome hairstyles, doesn't she?!
This weekend we had Ann's bridal shower. (That's her future Father-In-Law HUGGING her. She just LOVES the hugs!)Lilly was a big help with the decorations.Jen was there.Sunday was Lilly's 10-week-birthday. I can't believe she's already 2 1/2 months old! She wore the same dress to church that we brought her home from the hospital in. What a difference! You can really see how jaundiced she was in the earlier photo (she was 2 days old there). I can't believe how much she's grown and changed. Also on Sunday, there was quite the downpour and Shannon enjoyed the rain while everyone else watched her from the porch. Matt was snuggly on the couch (that's a baby blanket covering him.The rest of the week was fairly uneventful. Wednesday we went to the photographer and Lilly cried the entire time (except for when she peed on Daddy's arm!). I hope we get at least one good shot out of the bunch!
We can't believe that Lilly is already 2 months old! Time sure does fly! She had a big week visiting with Granny Smith on Wednesday and then hanging out with Soul Pardon all day Saturday. I was very busy last week working on the new Soul Pardon pages on the Open Door website. I'm also working on staring a photography business to actually make money photographing families, children and high school senoirs, as well as weddings and other special events. If you need any photography done, give me a call! My good friend Jessieis helping me get a website started for this new venture. She recently started a business designing baby announcements, wedding invitations and other cool stuff. She did Lilly and Kaden's announcements! Check out her site!
Here are some photos from the last week (For some reason they are not all loading, so I'll put the rest up soon):
We went to Grandpa Dan's for Memorial Day (excellent burgers, by the way)... ...where Lilly got to meet Uncle Andy's girlfriend Erica for the first time.Friday, Jessie came up from Cincinnati for a visit. We had a great time, and we miss her already! We all can't wait to visit Jessie & BJ in August!

When Love Means Nothing

Sorry I haven't posted in a really ,really ,long time. I have been kind of
been in a cool down period, after I went through that time where I was just
gett...
so here's what i want you to do, GOD helping you: take your everyday, ordinary life--your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life--and place it before GOD as an offering. embracing what GOD does for you is the best thing you can do for him. don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. instead, fix your attention on GOD. you'll be changed from the inside out. readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, GOD brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
