Matt left with the rest of Soul Pardon on Thursday to go to the Freshwind youth conference in Toronto, Canada. I couldn't go this year due to my pregnancy restrictions. I miss Matt so much! Lilly & I have been watching the conference online and we've been able to see Matt, Dad, Kyle, Jerick, Jordan, Kirt, Hannah, Nate, Ray & Calli in the worship sets. I won't lie, seeing it all online and not being able to actually be there is rough. It's just not the same watching a session and then having to get up and change a diaper, or put a little girl down for her nap. It doesn't have quite the same flow as actually being there and hanging out with some of my favorite young people!
This morning, the Freshwind Band was playing 'Happy Day', and now Lilly keeps singing, "happy day, happy day...wash sins away." It's good to know she's absorbing some of the conference too. She likes the music, especially when everybody starts jumping up and down. She dances right along with the rest of them! It's pretty cute. She's a little worshipper.
More than missing out on the conference, I miss my husband so much! I keep wanting to call him between sets (and sometimes I do), but I can't talk to him for long...international phone charges and all. And he is the leader of our group this weekend, so I can't hold him up talking to me while he's there. He did call me this morning to ask for directions to McDonalds. That's my Matt...
I don't really have much else to say, besides I have developed a cough and my lungs are tight again. I can't wait to be rid of this junk. I've been sick in one way or another since the end of October. Pray for my health, please! I want to sing again!

Matt's Done Painting!!! (for now)
Matt has made a TON of progress on the upstairs rooms lately. Lilly just had her room painted, and as soon as I choose the fabric, we'll have her quilt done. She is so excited to have her room done, and I'm happy that it doesn't look like a closet anymore! This is the "blue room." We call it that because that's the color we painted it. We put a lot of thought into that title, let me tell you. It is the room that connects the kids' rooms with our bedroom, and the bathroom is off of it as well. It would be a great bedroom if it didn't serve a the main hallway upstairs. We do keep a twin bed in there (it has been very useful on our recent sick days) and most of the toys.Lilly can't get enough of looking at herself in the mirror. This is Judah's room. It is not finished, but you get the idea. It used to be pepto-bismol pink, and now it's a pale yellow (that doesn't translate too well in a photo). We just got our glider/rocker and I'll be finishing off this room next week, hopefully. Then we'll post real photos of the baby's new room.
